As winter melts away, wildflowers are blooming, farmers' markets are in full swing, and it's time to get outdoors to hike, bike, whale watch, and kayak during your stay in March, April and May! Find spring lodging and dining specials.

What's the Spring Weather Like in the San Juans?

Springtime weather can be the most changeable of all the seasons in the Islands. Daytime temperatures shift from the chill of late February to a balmy March (53 degrees Fahrenheit on average), into the gorgeous days of April (57 degrees) and May (63 degrees). Showers are common, but with half the precipitation of the Seattle area, the San Juans experience fewer rainy days. As the locals say, "dress in layers" for any outing, with a sweater, light jacket, scarf and hat at the ready.
