Join Outdoor Odysseys for a 12-day Kayak Camping Tour to explore and learn about the natural history of the Salish Sea. Using the San Juan Archipelago as both a classroom and laboratory, participants will address concepts in marine and island ecology through a combination of presentations, explorations and hands-on experiments.

Take a Cooking Class with Coho Restaurant

Take a cooking class with Coho Restaurant and enjoy a weekend of cooking and eating. Their chefs will share their passion for food with cooking seminars customized just for you. The cooking classes include demonstrations and hands-on practice led by the inn’s chefs. Perfect for couples, families, friends, team building, or corporate retreats.

Master Bouquet Making Skills at The Little Farm

Visit The Little Farm on Orcas Island and learn about their incredible variety of flowers. You'll you-pick flowers with Carol, learn how to make a hand-tied bouquet, how to condition your flowers so they last, and so much more! Embark on a Mushroom Identification Hike

Doe Bay Resort offers Mushroom Identification Hikes in the fall at Moran State Park, led by local naturalist River Augenstein. Enjoy hiking through the park and learning about many of Orcas Island’s distinctive mushroom species; how they live, where they grow, and which species are edible and medicinal.
