Family Art Days: Autumn Block Printing with Alice Hibberd

Join the San Juan Islands Museum of Art for a free, hands-on Family Art Days class in the art of printmaking. Led by local teaching artist and certified Washington teacher Alice Hibberd, children and their accompanying adult will learn block printing techniques using soft, easy-to-carve rubber blocks and simple cutting tools. Participants sketch, carve, and print their own unique autumn designs, taking home black and white prints, cards, or bookmarks, and are encouraged to bring inspiration from nature. The class is free for children ages 5 and up with a supervising adult, and all materials are provided. Preregistration is encouraged as space is limited. Saturday, November 7, 12-2 PM at the San Juan Islands Museum of Art.
