Opening Night: Behind the Lens, Films by Meg Partridge

The 14th annual Friday Harbor Film Festival opens Thursday, October 22 at 5:00 PM with a free collaborative event from SJIMA and FHFF at the Palace Theatre. Academy Award-nominated filmmaker and SJIMA Guest Curator Meg Partridge presents two short films, Portrait of Imogen, in which photographer Imogen Cunningham shares her own work, and Outta My Light! Photographer Rondal Partridge, a portrait of Imogen's son, who apprenticed with Dorothea Lange and assisted Ansel Adams. A Q&A with Meg follows the screening, then a walk-through of the related exhibitions at the San Juan Islands Museum of Art. Admission is free, but an RSVP is required for reserved seating. FHFF passholders receive free admission to SJIMA throughout festival weekend.
