Family Art Days: Hand-Painted Zipper Pouches with Gail Leschine-Seitz
Join the San Juan Islands Museum of Art for a free, hands-on Family Art Days class with local textile artist Gail Leschine-Seitz. Children and their accompanying adult will practice a number of painting techniques on scrap fabric — including stenciling, easy block printing, and sketch-then-paint methods — before designing and painting their own zipper pouch to keep. If time allows, a second painting can be added to the other side. The class is free for children ages 5 and up with a supervising adult, and all materials are provided. Preregistration is encouraged as space is limited.
