Family Art Days - Botanical Painting in Watercolor

Bring your young artist to the San Juan Islands Museum of Art for Botanical Painting in Watercolor, a free Family Art Days class on Saturday, August 1 from noon to 2:00 PM. Led by Alchemy Arts Center guest instructors Sophia Larsen and Emerald Vernon-Lapow, this nature-inspired session invites kids ages 5 and up to wander the grounds around SJIMA gathering leaves, flowers, and flora — then bring their findings to life through sketching and watercolor painting with the guidance of professional artists. Family Art Days is a beloved community program offering hands-on art classes for children to enjoy alongside a parent or supportive adult, with all materials provided by SJIMA.
