Alchemy Art Center: Summer: Kids Art Camps!
Summer might seem far off, but it's not too early to start thinking about fun activities for the kids! We are excited to host a whole series of kids art camps this year!
During each week of camp, students will have the opportunity to work on hands-on art projects focused around different themes in a supportive and welcoming environment. Our camps are led by experienced teaching artists, including our AAC staff and our seasonal artists-in-residence. These camps are for elementary (K-5) students.
If your child loves to create, this is the perfect summer option! We will also spend time playing outside, because after all, it's camp!
Schedule and Themes (9am-12pm daily):
- June 15 - 19: Clay Week! (Ceramics Studio) - A week exploring all things CLAY!
- June 22 - 26: Sewing and Textiles Week! (Art Barn) - Sew, assemble, knit, construct, and imagine with fiber!
- July 13 - 17: Clay Week #2! (Ceramics Studio) - A week exploring all things CLAY!
- July 27 - 31: Puppets and Theater Week! (Art Barn) - Make puppets, sets, and put on a show!
- August 3 - 7: Drawing and Painting Week! (Art Barn) - For kids who love to draw, illustrate, make comics, and paint!
- August 17 - 21: Eco Art Week! (Art Barn) - Focusing on the intersection of art and nature, with projects like sculpting insects, building habitats, and an end-of-camp art show!
