Bill Yarlott Youth Derby

Get those fishing rods out! The Bill Yarlott Youth Fishing Derby will take place this Saturday, April 25,  at Cascade Lake, hosted and sponsored by Orcas Adventures. 

This family-friendly event celebrates youth, community, and the great outdoors, honoring Bill Yarlott and his lasting impact on local fishing traditions. The derby is open to all children under 16, with fishing beginning at daybreak. A free pancake breakfast will be served at 9 am, followed by weigh-in at 11 am. In partnership with the Jeffrey G. Pyne Free Fishing Weekend, kids may also receive free fishing gear and tackle while supplies last, helping make the event accessible to all participants. Families are encouraged to attend and enjoy a day filled with fresh air, first catches, and lasting memories
