Alchemy Art Center: Intro to Spinning (6-part class)
Tuesdays and Thursdays in May from 6:30-8:30pm (6 sessions)
Spin a skein of yarn in this hands-on class where we practice the ancient skill of twisting fibers into line! In this course we will learn how to transform wool from a raw fleece into finished yarn utilizing the principles of twist. Students will learn the fundamentals of creating yarn and will introduced to washing, skirting, and carding raw wool to prepare them for larger home studio projects.
