Don’t miss the isle’s Artisans Holiday Market, November 28th and 29th, at the fairgrounds in Friday Harbor. Find unique, island-made gifts for everyone on your list and support not only the local makers.
Island Artisans is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 1976 to raise scholarship funds for young artists within the community. The holiday market is the primary fundraiser for those scholarships. It is a juried show and sale by San Juan County artists, with each participating artist donating 10% of their sales to support the scholarship program. More than $15,000 in scholarships are awarded to graduating seniors annually. Additional donations and volunteers are welcome.
