Go Take A Hike - Circumnavigating Lopez Hill

Description: From the preserve parking lot we will go counterclockwise on the trails around Lopez Hill, taking a rest and snack break at the top.  While there aren’t any distant views, the trails pass through a range of environments from alder bogs to rocky outcrops, a very peaceful hike through a second-growth forest.

Start time: 9:30am at the schools corner parking lot (first entry on the right after turning on School Road from Center Road) to car pool to the preserve parking lot. 

Estimated end time: 1:30pm

Difficulty: Moderate

Distance: 3.5 miles

Elevation gain: 500’

Hike leaders: Kurt Fuller and Steve Snowden

Please dress for the weather and bring water, snacks, or whatever else you need for a. successful hike.
