Fall Great Islands Clean Up

As summer ends and we head into Fall, it's a great time to clear litter from local roadways and beaches. Join in for the Fall Great Islands Cleanup on Saturday, October 4th.

Lopez:
Check in, choose a route, and pick up supplies from 10am to 11am at Lopez Village Park. (Limited supplies will also be available outside Southend Market, first come first served.) Then, drop off litter at the Dump for free from 12pm to 2pm! Follow signs to the designated drop-off area.

Questions? Email sarahr@lopezsolidwaste.org.

Orcas:
Meet at the Eastsound Village Green or put a team together and let us know where you’ll be cleaning up. Pick-up bags, vests and grabbers starting Monday, September 29th at The Exchange or on Saturday, October 4th (day of event) at the Village Green starting at 10am. Collected trash can be dropped off the day of the event between 2-3pm at the Village Green.

Contact Pete Moe with questions. pete@exchangeorcas.org  or 360-376-4089.

San Juan:
Join us at Jackson Beach Picnic Shelter at 10am on Saturday, October 4th. Choose your beach or roadway assignment and cleanup supplies (gloves, bags, pickers). Fuel up with coffee and donuts courtesy of Lautenbach Recycling, then head out to clean up your chosen location, or stay at Jackson Beach for a Great Nurdle Hunt with Friends of the San Juans. Return all trash and materials by 2pm to the Jackson Beach Picnic Shelter as the garbage truck comes for the dumpsters at 2:00. Hope to see you all there!
