WHO WE ARE

The Exchange is a non-profit community reuse store on Orcas Island. It’s home to useful, eclectic, previously owned treasures. Whether you’re looking for a set of cross-country skis, dishes for a rustic wedding, building materials, a bike, books for vacation reading, a winter jacket, or nuts and bolts to fix your washing machine, you can probably find it at The Exchange.

HOW YOU PAY

Most of the items in the store have no price tag, and you pay what you think the item is worth. More valuable merchandise has color-coded stickers will identify the ‘value band’ of the item—from  $10-$20, $20-$30, $30-$40, and so on.

OUR GOAL

Our mission is to “build a zero waste community through service, education, and stewardship of Orcas Island’s waste and resource stream.”  Come shop at The Exchange and help us reach our goal of a truly zero-waste island community!
