Blueberry Jam is the passion project of Sky Leuba, a local Bellingham musician who grew up just across the border in Langley, BC. It features a somewhat rotating cast of musicians with the aim to provide a platform to introduce local musicians to the dance scene and have a jolly good time. The music is well established in tradition, but with a propensity for some improvisation, arrangement, as well as the infusion of original piano compositions that speak to Sky’s formative education in classical and jazz. $10-$20 sliding scale. The caller will teach the dances–easy to learn, fun to dance with people of all ages. All are welcome.
