Lynda Mapes Book Release

Join author and journalist Lynda V. Mapes for an evening of conversation and connection around her latest book, The Trees Are Speaking

Tuesday, May 13
5:00–7:00 PM (Doors open at 4:30 PM)
Brickworks, Friday Harbor

Hosted by Friends of the San Juans and Salish Current, this special event invites readers into Lynda’s latest work—a powerful reflection on forests, kinship, and the legacy of environmental stewardship across the country. The Trees Are Speaking explores what we can learn when we listen to the living world around us, combining environmental journalism, science, and traditional ecological knowledge.

Books will be available for purchase courtesy of Griffin Bay Bookstore.

This event is free and open to all, though advance registration is requested.

Your optional donation of $100 (VIP Ticket) or more will support the mission at Friends of the San Juans (with a membership) and independent journalism at Salish Current. As a thank you, your event co-hosts will reserve your seat and provide you a signed book from Lynda that evening.
