'Boys in the Boat' Movie Screening and Program

The Lopez Island Library, Lopez Island Historical Society and Lopez Center for Community and the Arts are coming together to host a wonderful screening The Boys in the Boat movie, with a special program before the movie featuring actual items from John White, who was one of the 'boys in the boat' and a long time Lopez resident. He was Colby White's grandfather, who will be presenting before the movie screening.

5-6 pm - Potluck, Community story time, and show and tell of memorabilia.
6-6:30 pm - Official program with slideshow

We encourage you to come at 5 pm with a delicious dish to share, your own place settings including plates, utensils, a cup, and a beverage, and join us for a Lopez-style story-telling and show and tell of memorabilia from this historic rowing team and Olympic gold medalists. At 6 pm, there will be a slideshow of historic photos and a facilitated presentation by the Lopez Island Historical Society. At 6:30 pm, the recently released Boys in the Boat movie will be screened.
