Solstice Parade - Eastsound and the Village Green - 12:00 pm
Orcas Island’s Summer Solstice Parade is a vibrant, community-organized celebration of the longest day of the year. A joyful explosion of creativity and island spirit, the parade features homemade, human-powered “floats,” whimsical costumes, music, and dancing, all winding through the streets of Eastsound. Begun in 1999, the parade has become a beloved annual tradition with many of the original participants still parading to this day. Reflecting the island’s artistic and free-spirited character, it is a truly grassroots event that embodies the Orcas Island way of life. Expect the unexpected, and be ready to join the fun!
Solstice Fest - Orcas Island Grange - 2:00 - 10:00 pm
Now in its third year, the Soulstice Fest returns with more of everything you know and love about this incredible continuation of the vibe from the Solstice Parade. More music, more food, more games, and more FUN! Treat yourself to a party that kinda won’t stop because the sun won’t go down! Bad Dads, Batbox, Chubasco, Danny Herasymchuck, Summer Barbone, Mudbath, and Real Freaque will entertain you and yours while you enjoy the company and the spirit of Solstice. Plus, you’ll be helping out the Orcas Grange!!
