Coho Restaurant serves Island grown Pacific cuisine with a Mediterranean flair. Chefs Tim and Ryan create exciting menus developed around the seasonality of fresh ingredients from local producers from the surrounding islands. Each night, this “Best of the San Juans” restaurant menu showcases simple and artful fare that allows the flavors of the individual ingredients to resonate on the palate.
Coho Restaurant’s wine cellar has been recognized by Wine Spectator with an Award of Excellence. Coho Restaurant has a full bar offering cocktails with artisan spirits. We offer the use of our dining room for private dining. Our team also offers full service off-site catering. We are proud to support the San Juan Island local farm community by participating in the Island Grown Program.
Coho Restaurant is set in a historic Craftsman House – three blocks from the ferry landing in walkable downtown Friday Harbor. Coho Restaurant’s intimate setting provides the perfect atmosphere for a fine dining special celebration, relaxed night out with friends, or private dinner. Consider making a night of it at one of our nearby Inns, located a block from the restaurant.
Dine with us at our 5 or 5:30 p.m. seating and enjoy a soup, salad, pasta or vegetarian entrée, along with our housemade ice cream for dessert for $45. Nominal upgrades are available if you would like to enjoy one of our entrees from the land or sea.

We are drawing from some classic Mid-West and Southern traditions and will be offering Smoked BBQ meats like brisket, chicken, and pulled pork. We’re also cooking up savory veggie options and some hard-to-resist sides like baked mac and cheese, collard greens, bbq baked beans, and corn bread.
Lunch take-out service will be available from 12–2 p.m. and 4–5 p.m., with pre-ordering soon to be announced.
Dine-in dinner service will be available from 5–8 p.m.

We are honored that Gilles is celebrating his 30th anniversary of wine-making in Washington State and his 22nd year with Long Shadow’s with a dinner at Coho Restaurant.
Gilles grew up in southern France and graduated from the University of Avignon with a four-year degree in viticulture and enology. He honed his craft in wineries of Côte du Rhône, Provence, and Champagne. In 1994, Gilles traveled to Washington State to expand his winemaking skills. Here he worked for several top Washington wineries, including Woodward Canyon, before joining Long Shadows in 2003. Seattle magazine named him Washington State’s Winemaker of the Year in 2016.
Chef Lockhart will prepare a 5-course feast paired with six of Long Shadow’s extraordinary wines. They epitomize the best of the best of Washington winemaking.
