Farms & Artisan Producers

The range of farm-to-table experiences is almost endless, from bed and breakfasts and country inns nestled next to a farmer’s garden, to self-guided or guided farm tours, and bustling farmers markets. All year round you’ll find quality local products, educational activities and culinary events, and you’ll experience the sense of community shared by island growers, ranchers, winemakers, chefs and other agricultural artisans who invite you to share the bounty of the islands.

Did you know that Orcas Island has its own variety of pear? The Orcas Pear, discovered by Orcas Island native Joe Long in the 1980's, is a large, scab resistant, and amazingly flavored pear. It's one of the many reasons the Islands were called "the fruit basket of the Puget Sound" for many years.
