Madrone Cellars & Ciders
Madrone Cellars & Cider is proud to offer a selection of European influenced Island Crafted Wines and Sparkling Hard Ciders to the San Juan Islands. To taste Madrone and meet the owners, come to the San Juan Island Farmers Market every Saturday, April through September.
The wines are made with minimal intervention, with a goal of revealing the grape, terroir, and story behind each glass. With a key interest in sparkling wines, owners Shaun and Amy Salamida manage an estate vineyard on San Juan Island, where they use the Pinot Noir, Ortega and Siegerrebe solely for Method Champenoise.
Apart from the local estate vineyard, Shaun and Amy source their grapes from carefully chosen vineyards in Yakima Valley. In addition to sparkling wines, they offer a variety of aromatic, dry whites and bold reds.
A key part of Madrone is their Sparkling Cider. From their Classic Dry to the Ginger & Lime, Madrone Cider is always dry, always unfiltered and always sparkling. Shaun and Amy want cider to be appreciated for its acidity, depth of flavor and food pairing capabilities.
