Etta's Place

Come to San Juan Island and stay at Etta's Place.  Adorable historic suites in a downtown historic Friday Harbor home originally built by San Juan County Sheriff Newt Jones in 1895.  Sheriff Jones is known as the county's only hanging sheriff.  Long time San Juan Island resident, Etta Egeland most recently owned the home until her death at 105 years of age.  Etta's Place has been restored and updated to reflect traditional accents with modern conveniences.  Leave your car at the Anacortes ferry terminal, walk on the ferry and enjoy charming accommodations only four blocks from the Friday Harbor ferry landing and two blocks from center downtown.

Etta's Places Suites has three seprate units, Archie's, Etta's and Newt's; all named after the previous owners.  All have en-suite baths; Archie's and Etta's have kitchens and our smallest suite, Newt's does have a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker.  Additionally, Archie's Suite has a second outside entrance; perfect for those needing easy access or bringing pets. We accept small well-behaved children and pets.
