The Cabin on Spring Bay
The Cabin on Orcas Island's Spring Bay is a secluded waterfront retreat in Washington's spectacular San Juan Islands. Hiking trails link Spring Bay's 57 wooded acres with adjacent Obstruction Pass State Park, creating a 5-mile system of trails right outside your front door. From this secluded retreat, guests can explore shoreline, wetlands and forests by foot, by kayak or rowboat, while soaking in the hottub, or simply from one of the comfortable seating areas inside the cabin or outside on the 40-foot deck.
Guests have exclusive access to hiking trails, beachfront campfire area, and picnic facilities with a view. We provide propane and charcoal for the outdoor grills. The view hottub is on the deck, looking out across Spring Bay to Lopez Island and the Olympic Mountain Range. We provide maps, field guides and binoculars to borrow, and we offer references for local activities (hiking trails, whale watch trips, art tours, fishing, kayaking, sailing) and restaurants.
The Cabin sleeps three. There is a queen bed in the main room of the cabin and a twin bed in a pocket bedroom, which is great for couples with a young child, people who like to nap during the day, or a family member who goes to bed a bit earlier than the rest. The efficiency kitchen is stocked with a variety of cookware, and dining utensils. Our private beach is just a few grassy steps from the cabin. Bring your kayak or arrange for an optional private tour with our experienced guides and quality equipment. No experience necessary.
In season, catch Dungeness crabs for your dinner (we can show you how to do it!) or treat yourself to oysters, salmon, and fresh vegetables from the farms nearby.
