History Lives Here

In the San Juans, May is "History Lives Here" month. In typical years we celebrate with guided walking tours, history talks, displays and other events that bring the history of the islands to life. This year, however, we are adapting the way we tell our story to reflect social distancing made necessary by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The calendar below lists opportunities to learn more about the history of the San Juan Islands and the people, places and events that have made, and continue to make, the San Juans a rich and fascinating island destination.
