Join us on San Juan Island for the 7th Annual San Juan Islands Agricultural Summit on February 2-3, 2019!   Gather with 150 local farmers, food producers and more for a weekend of education, inspiration, and community. Saturday morning and afternoon will consist of several hands-on workshops: Join the San Juan Island Community for a Summit Hoedown with music and delicious food. Sunday will feature our keynote Dr. Heidi Roop from the UW Climate Impacts Group, and twelve 1.5 hour sessions led by local and regional experts in farming, agriculture and more. Scholarships and Work-trade available.  

We are proud to host Dr. Heidi Roop, of the University of Washington Climate Impacts Group as this year's Keynote Speaker Dr. Roop is a climate scientist with a passion for science, communication, and community co-production of knowledge. She is looking forward to connecting with the San Juan Islands agricultural community, and share research concerning climate impacts in the Puget Sound region.

Saturday morning and afternoon will consist of several extended and hands-on workshops in a variety of locations on San Juan Island. Registration for these workshops will open as they are confirmed, but no later than January 1st.

We invite the whole community to join us Saturday evening at Brickworks for the Summit Hoedown from 6;00-9;00 p.m. 

Sunday morning, gather to learn and be inspired at Friday Harbor Middle School. This year the Summit will offer twelve 1.5 hour Sessions on four different tracks including Farm Marketing and Finance, Agricultural Programs and Policy, Production, and Community Perspectives. Sessions will cover an array of topics including fruit production, soil and pasture management, local climate change impacts, farm marketing and much more. Sunday schedule will be released no later than Jan 1.
