Hear ye, hear ye! Renowned Shakespearean actors and enthusiastic small-town performers are coming together on Orcas Island for two days of classic and fun entertainment.

This 5th Annual Shakespeare Festival will include Unexpected Productions from Seattle, a local performance of Midsummer Night’s Dream, the parade and street fair on Saturday. Midsummer Night’s Dream is the theme of the whole festival with impromptu acting by Orcas musicians and performers both young and old, and a variety of offerings from island restaurants, hotels and shops for visitors and locals alike. Restaurants and shops will feature Shakespearean Specials during the weekend, transforming the island into a Salish Sea version of Stratford-upon-Avon.
