The exhibition showcases photographs, poems, and journal entries by twenty-five Vietnam veterans from around the US. Most of the material was previously kept hidden away, even from family and friends. Many veterans destroyed their photographs taken during the war in order to purge painful memories and close a visceral door to the past.
This is the first showing of this exhibition on the West Coast and the second ever. MY WAR is generously sponsored by the Dave and Nancy Honeywell Charitable Fund.
In the North Gallery, San Juan County Vietnam vets present "A War Never Ends" and is sponsored by the American Legion Post 163, Friday Harbor.
Mary Coss' "Traces" can be enjoyed in the Atrium.
