Food, Wine & Family –  What could go better together?

This special evening will showcase three remarkable French wine making families. Each are stewards of their vineyard and produce wines of distinction reflective of terroir.

Meet – Marie & Alexandre Copinet, Stephen & Luci Maurice, Pierre-Francois and Delphine Gagnerot

The Copinet family winery is the culmination of several generations of winemakers rooted in the Champagne region. From a tiny village of Montgenost in the Marne Valley, Alexandre and Marie-Laure continue the same vineyard practices as their ancestors. Their Champagne is a blend of three vintages and is a wine of sheer excellence.

Stephan & Luci’s family estate in the village of Savigny-les-Beaune dates back to the 1920’s. They make wines reflective of their personalities – profound, refined and elegant. Their 1er Cru from Les Lavieres will be a featured wine for the evening.

Pierre-Francois and Delphine, the 9th generation, carry on the tradition of Capitain – Gagnerot, established in 1802. The winery has vineyards in Côtes de Beaune and Côtes de Nuits and produces Pinot Noir and Chardonnay – expressions of elegance and purity.

Please join us Friday, October 13th at 6:00 p.m. for a special evening of French food and wine as we celebrate these families with a fall harvest meal. They’ll be bubbly for toasting and some exquisite wines that express the individual terroir of each estate. Chef Bill will prepare a 5 course feast, each course paired with one of these exquisite wines.  Chef Bill is planning the menu and will post it here shortly. We are so excited as Chef Bill loves French cuisine! It should be a memorable evening!

Make a night of it – the Tucker House Inn will offer $129 queen Jacuzzi guest rooms for Friday night for those attending the dinner.
