Ruth’s solo albums The Garden and These Wilder Things received glowing reception from fans and critics alike.  Her collaborations with music legend Mark Knopfler on These Wilder Things and Knopfler’s albums Privateering and Tracker brought her voice to music lovers across the world, and 2015 saw her performing in Europe and the UK in legendary venues such as The Royal Albert Hall, both as a support act and as a member of Knopfler’s band.  A respected and accomplished songwriter, Ruth’s songs often sound traditional, tapping into timeless and universal themes, but hold intimacy and honesty that is unmistakably hers. They have won awards, appeared in film and television and have been performed by countless choirs and ensembles around the world.

Ruth became a mother in 2016 and splits her time between Nashville, Tennessee, and Victoria, British Columbia. She is currently in the planning stages of a new solo album and traverses the continent on a constant quest for inspiration and beauty.
