Beginning Wheel Throwing with Glenn Hendrick

Join Glenn Hendrick for an in-depth exploration of throwing on the wheel! Students will start at the beginning with comprehensive demos and individualized instruction focusing on the creation of common vessel types (cylinders, bowls, vases, etc.)
Students will learn everything from centering to trimming to forming and attaching handles, as well as various glaze techniques. Students will take home multiple food-safe, glazed pieces that they can use in their homes! This class will lead into Intermediate Wheel Throwing in March.
Glenn Hendrick is a San Juan Island based artist who works in ceramics, printmaking, photography, painting, and drawing. www.glennhendrick.com
*Included in this class is up to two open studios, Jan. 25 and Feb. 8 from 12pm-3pm. Open studio is intended to provide extra practice time for multiple classes, and for members of the studio. Personal instruction is not guaranteed. Wheel space is first come first serve. All cleaning requirements apply.
