Join us in honoring our local food and fiber shed at Warm Valley Orchard and the heritage products central to island agriculture. Lunch in the orchard is hosted by the Island Food Heroes program and features delicious food harvested from local farms and lovingly prepared by The Kitchen.
Enjoy wine or fruit spritzers and appetizers from Girl Meets Dirt made from WVO fruits topping island cheese on heritage grain bread. Three-course menu continues with nourishing island-grown vegetable curry and samosas, finshing with a pumpkin spice cake dessert with pear compote.
A portion of the proceeds benefit the Orcas School Garden youth program. Tours of the sheep-to-yarn-to textile studio of Maria Nutt and the orchards, livestock, and farm practices managed by Bob Nutt are available 10-noon and 2-4.
