In this class, printmaker and textile artist Katey Rissi guides you through the process of relief printing on fabric. Bring a t-shirt, tablecloth, yardage or old clothing to upcycle and repurpose into beautiful wearable art. We'll learn about different types of relief printing and carve stamps to print on fabric. Learn tips for using printmaking for surface design, proper use of tools, and image making techniques. No previous printmaking experience necessary. Participants will leave this class with stamps they created in class and can use for other projects, as well as whatever textiles they printed on.
