Learn about the magic of creating color with plants with artist Katey Rissi in this introduction to Natural Dye workshop. This class will lay a solid foundation down to help you understand the fundamentals of how natural dyeing works, so you can continue a dye practice yourself. We will discuss the history of plant color, what fabrics to use, how to prepare fabric for dyeing, and of course, which plants to work with. Students will leave the class with a dye swatch book and a bundle-dyed bandana.
