Shakespeare Under the Stars re-opens to live audiences with "Much Ado About Nothing". This new production of Shakespeare's wittiest comedy is set in a world emerging from wartime, eager for sunshine and laughter. Benedick, a returning officer, engages in bouts of mocking repartee with Beatrice. Meanwhile Claudio, a heroic junior officer, falls head over heels for Hero, a sweet, innocent young heiress. But a series of sly tricks throws their world into doubt and confusion. By the time Shakespeare unmasks all the deception, we've laughed a lot and grown a bit wiser, too.
This performance is outside. Bring blankets, warm clothes (even a parka!) for when the sun goes down.
