Alchemy Art: October Intermediate Wheel-Throwing (4 Thursdays)

This is a 4-Week class offered on Thursdays

Intermediate Wheel Throwing builds on our beginning wheel class, giving you more time on the wheel to practice and ask questions! This class is perfect for students who have taken the beginning class, or have had some experience on the wheel, but would like to continue cultivating their skills. If you'd like to learn more about throwing specific forms, glazing techniques, and have more time for personalized support, this is the class for you.

Included in the class is access to our Wednesday open studios (5-7 pm) during the course, and one bonus open studio to finish up any glazing after all of the work has been bisque-fired. All clay and glaze used during class is included- additional clay is available for purchase for creating new work during open studios.

This class will taught by local potter and glass artist Craig Britton, one half of the very talented team at Living Large Small. Craig is a patient and supportive teacher, and is excited to share his love and excitement for pottery with you!

This class is held in the clay studio in the main art building on the AAC campus. Directions and parking information will be included in your confirmation email.

Registration: Please register early if you are able, as it helps us to assure that classes meet their minimums in order to run! If you register more than three weeks before this class begins, a 20% early bird discount will automatically be applied to your ticket at checkout.

A Note on Ticket Pricing: We are experimenting with offering sliding scale tickets in order to keep our classes accessible to as many community members as possible. There are three price tiers. Sustaining tickets help us continue to invest in programming. Full price tickets cover the costs associated with running classes. Accessibility tickets are priced below what it costs for us to run a class. If the cost of a full price ticket is a hardship, we encourage you to purchase a sliding scale ticket. If you can pay the full price or sustaining price, please choose that option so we can keep providing arts programming to the community
