There are two certification programs - Island Grown in the San Juans and San Juan Islands Made - that ensure that you are purchasing a high-quality item produced in the San Juan Islands by islanders.
Look for the Island Grown Seal
Island Grown in the San Juans is a certification given to farms and businesses within San Juan County who meet the program’s high standards. Certified farms use organic, humane and conservation practices. Business such as restaurants buy at least 10% of their ingredients from farms within the county and for value-added products at least 95% of the defining ingredient is locally sourced. Look for the Islands Made Seal
San Juan Islands Made is a certification given to any product that is produced by islanders, here in the San Juan Islands. The San Juan Islands Made brand was established to protect the integrity and value of the marketing allure for San Juan Islands Made manufactured, fished and timbered goods.
