Lopez Island, in Washington State's San Juan Islands, is a great place to come and enjoy an island way of life. Be prepared to wave, because Lopez is the Friendly Isle. The island is a bicyclists paradise and a beach combers dream. Lopez Island is the first stop on the Washington State Ferry from Anacortes. Anacortes is the crown jewel of Fidalgo Island, easternmost of the San Juan Islands and jump-point to the rest of the world-renowned archipelago.
