Our San Juan Islands kayaking routes are carefully designed to maximize your probability for an amazing whale encounter! Orcas are creatures of habit and nearly all sightings occur in just one narrow corridor – check out our website's maps to see "Orca Alley." The friendly, but highly-endangered salmon orca have been very difficult to find in the past two years, but the elusive mammal-eating killer whales are increasing their local population. The islands are famous for more than whales, and you will likely see seals, sea lions, porpoises, otters, eagles and more. Sea Quest accommodates everyone from experts to beginners and can customize tours to fit your needs. Families with kids will appreciate our family tours – age 5 & up – and 3-person kayaks so kids can sit between two adults in a very stable and fast sea kayak. Children under 12 may be eligible for a 20% discount.
