Join in as Friday Harbor lights up the tree and raises a joyful noise! The Island Lights Festival kicks off the holiday season on December 5, with a bigger-than-ever village tree lighting at Memorial Park.

At 4:30 p.m., before the lighting, bundle up and meet at Memorial Park to hear the Island Chordsmen Barbershop Singers sing great old Christmas songs. There will also be holiday wreaths for sale.  At 4:50 p.m. there will be community caroling, and at 5:00 p.m., the festivities continue with the official tree lighting followed by more community singing plus the Eagle Spirit Choir.

Visit The Whale Museum for holiday treats & goodies & shopping from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. Friday Harbor shops will be twinkling with lights and open for business, so you can find the perfect gift of jewelry, clothing, books or local food products.  Join in the old-fashioned community fun all through the month of December with holiday concerts, plays and events.
