Join in as Friday Harbor lights up the tree and raises a joyful noise! The Island Lights Festival kicks off the holiday season on December 5, with a bigger-than-ever village tree lighting at Memorial Park.

At 4:30, before the lighting, bundle up and meet at Memorial Park to enjoy treats and hot drinks, hear the Island Chordsmen Barbershop Singers sing great old Christmas songs, and buy a holiday wreath. At 5:10, the festivities continue with a performance by the Friday Harbor Elementary School Choir, followed by the official tree lighting at 5:30. Then, walk up the hill to the Whale Museum for cookies, cider and hot chocolate. Friday Harbor shops will be twinkling with lights and open for business, so you can find the perfect gift of jewelry, clothing, books or local food products.  Join in the old-fashioned community fun all through the month of December with holiday concerts, plays and events.
