Getting Around
Each of the San Juan Islands has a personality all its own. To experience them all, the Washington State Ferry’s inter-island runs provide an easy and economical way for you to hop between the islands. In addition to the ferry, local airlines and water taxis can also get you quickly to the next stop on your San Juan Islands adventure.
Thinking about leaving the car behind at the Anacortes ferry terminal? The Orcas Island ferry docks in Orcas Village, and the San Juan Island ferry docks in downtown Friday Harbor. Bring your bike or rent one on Lopez, Orcas or San Juan Island. Or rent a moped, scootcar or vehicle on Orcas or San Juan. You'll find a seasonal shuttle on both Orcas and San Juan, and on Lopez the Lopez Islander Resort shuttle will pick you up at the ferry landing for free if you are a lodging or dining guest, or for a fee if you are not. You'll also find taxi services on all three islands.
We offer year-round rental cars, mid-size cars, sedans, mini-vans and convertibles. We will deliver anywhere on Orcas Island. Also try our CD audio tours to get around the islands more easily. [more...]
