During the summer season, you can walk on the Victoria Clipper (with or without your bike) in downtown Seattle and sail right to Friday Harbor. Or ride the Puget Sound Express from Port Townsend to Friday Harbor. From Bellingham, San Juan Cruises offers a tour that includes a 2-hour stop in Friday Harbor.
Board a Washington State Ferry in Anacortes, Washington, for a spectacular, scenic cruise to Lopez, Orcas, Shaw or San Juan Islands. You can also take a ferry to Sidney, B.C., just north of Victoria. In addition, you can "island hop" between our four, ferry-served islands. You can walk on with or without a bicycle, or drive your car on. For 27 years, Puget Sound Express has provided thousands of travelers with fun-packed and fascinating tours on the waters in the San Juan Islands and around the Victorian seaport of Port Townsend, Washington. We are also the official passenger ferry connection between San Juan Island and Port Townsend.
From May - October we run most days, leaving Port Townsend in the morning - stopping in Friday Harbor for lunch and sightseeing. We make it back to Port Townsend around 5:00 p.m. One way trips are a great way to get back and forth between Port Townsend and Friday Harbor. [more...]
