The San Juan Island Chamber of Commerce's Annual Island Lights Festival begins at 4:30 p.m. with caroling down Spring Street by the Island Chordsmen under the direction of local Angel Michaels. At 5:00 p.m. they will flip the switch on the famous tree at Memorial Park. This year the trees at Memorial Park will have 4,000 new LED lights, thanks to the Town of Friday Harbor and the Chamber of Commerce.  Then join the Elementary School choir singing Christmas carols under the newly lit tree. Island Rec will lead an ornament-making workshop and there will be hot chocolate and cookies for all. Come join in and get in the holiday spirit 'island style'!
