Lavendera Massage

Lavendera presents the Photography of Michael Bertrand. Come join us for the free show opening of our next featured artist Michael Bertrand and be inspired! We are very excited to exhibit the beautiful photography of very talented local artist Michael Bertrand in our spa space. Michael tries to "capture" his surroundings with an awareness of lighting, proportions and scale, taken from his background in architecture and design. His challenge and creative goal is to take the ordinary and make it extraordinary. As he is exploring more with long exposure and night photography you will see things through his creative eye. His goal is for his images to "convey emotion" as well as to "tell a story".

The fourth edition of Melodious Notes Over the Harbor promises for a light and beautiful evening of great music. Clarinetist Sue Collado has again assembled a diverse group of island and mainland musicians for a program featuring works by our own island composers Alex Shapiro and Richard Hieronymus, as well as works by Bach, Toch, Faure, Joplin, Devienne, Khatchaturian and more.

Sue says this variety of instrumentation gives the group a chance to really "mix it up" with different instruments, players and pieces. “It's fun to put all of these wonderful talents together and hear how the different instruments blend and balance with each other to give each composition a 'tantalizing flavor.' We are pleased to continue presenting concerts that offer unique bites of great music and are not your typical chamber music program."
