The forests, prairies and lagoons of American Camp attract a variety of birds throughout the summer, and offer a prime birding and hiking experience. Join park staff in enjoying this wonderful island resource.

Dan Kennedy's involvement in New Age music infused with rock and jazz goes back to the 1980's. His music genre of "new age" is better described as contemporary instrumental. A conservatory trained composer, Dan got his start in New Age playing evenings of improvised piano music at Oberlin College's Cat-in-the-Cream Coffeehouse. A commissioned composer, Dan has been published by Dorn Publications (ASCAP) and Mt. Pollux Music (ASCAP). Dan's current release INTUITION was produced by gifted producer and engineer Corin Nelsen, a Grammy Award Winner. 

Dan's music is known to pull out optimism and hope for the better. In his latest album the hook is celebratory and uplifting with a touch of the wild. Show time:  7:30 p.m.

Park rangers and volunteers describe events leading up to and including the Pig War and the peaceful joint occupation of San Juan Island by English and American troops. This walk is every Saturday from 11:00 a.m. - noon from June 8 until August 31.
