Enjoy a great community dinner this Thanksgiving. Come alone or bring friends and family. This is a day to share and give thanks together. Everyone is welcome. It’s all free. The food is great. There’s a fire in the fire place. Most important of all, there is plenty of turkey, dressing and all the fixin’s and there are plenty of friends and neighbors to share a special day. Time: noon - 5:00 p.m.
Odd Fellows will supply the turkeys and tableware. Everyone else please bring their beverage of choice and a dish to share from the this list: If your last name begins with: A-M Your favorite side dish (mashed potatoes, yams, veggies, etc), N-R Salad, bread or rolls, S-Z Dessert. Prime Rib special every Thursday night! Starting November 20th we are bringing back prime rib night. Choice prime rib served with organic vegetables, baked potato, au jus, and creamy horseradish. Full menu is still availble and we have vegetarian options as well.
San Juan Island Artisans are sponsoring their 36th annual event featuring the 'best of the best' creations by San Juan County artists. Fifty-five artists will sell their unique, hand-made arts and crafts this year—just in time for holiday gift giving—offering a wide variety of items from soaps and lotions to jewelry, clothing, cards, paintings, island-made foods, scenic photography and much more. There will be delicious snacks available by local caterer Cynthia's of Course to keep shoppers satisfied. This is a fundraiser for the Island Artisans Scholarship Fund. Lime Kiln Point State Park, the Whale Watch Park, is a “must see” for visitors to San Juan Island. Orcas are still in the area as well as humpback whales. The Interpretive Center/Gift Shop will be stocked with special gifts from Whale Watch Park. There are beautiful Christmas ornaments, hats, t-shirts, sweatshirt, silver jewelry, books for young and old, and more. Proceeds from the Center’s merchandise sales help fund Park activities and programs.
