Orcas Island Fine Dining

For French-inspired Northwest cuisine (lots of delicious sauces and cheeses), try breakfast,  lunch or dinner overlooking the water at the New Leaf Café at the Outlook Inn in Eastsound. A high-energy restaurant that manages to be warm and cozy at the same time, the cafe serves cocktails that alone are worth the visit, and even infuses some of its own spirits, such as jalapeño- and pineapple-infused tequila.

Just a mile outside Eastsound is the Inn at Ship Bay Restaurant, surrounded by heirloom orchards and perched high on a bluff with unobstructed views over Ship Bay. Here you’ll find casual fine dining with a European feel, in the restaurant or bar or on the waterview patio—the imaginative menu changes daily.  Unobtrusive service, fresh local seafood, meats, and produce, breads, pastries, and desserts made onsite.

Dine indoors at Eastsound’s renowned restaurant, Allium—cozy, inviting, romantic—or on the deck overlooking the bay (they’ll supply a fleece blanket if you want one). Either way, you’ll savor simple, fresh Pacific Northwest flavors sourced from local farms, creatively prepared, beautifully presented, and often with a French or Asian twist. All this in a casually comfortable atmosphere. Enthusiastic reviews mean you’ll need reservations. Also on offer are weekend brunches, which begin with a basket of warm, freshly baked mini-pastries.
